Purim is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from Haman, who had planned to kill all Jews. Purim involves exchanging gifts of food and drink, donating charity to the poor, eating a feast/ celebratory meal, reciting the Scroll of Esther and daily prayers and wearing masks and costumes
