The Role of the horses in WWI 1914
War horses were a big part in World War One. Thousands of horses were bought from all over Britain to serve with British Forces. Photographs here show a horse landing at Boulogne. Horse died in battle, on the plains of Belguim, and photographs below of commandeered horses being trained by rough-riders
