Thomas Edison re-creates his electric lamp

Photograph showing (left to right): President Herbert Hoover, Henry Ford and Thomas Edison, at the re-creation of the lamp which magically awoke the World to a new brilliance fifty years before. The wizard of Menlo Park in New Jersey, reconstructed the lamp in the same laboratory in which he made his original experiments. The meeting of theses three men, Hoover, Ford and Edison, constitutes a saga of American endeavour and opportunity. President Hoover started as an engineer, Ford as a bicycle mechanic and Edison as a newboy and Hawker of fruit on the railway train
