Sir Edward Henry Carson, Baron Carson (1854 - 1935), leader of the Ulster Unionist Party, senior barrister and judge. In 1895, he was engaged by the Marquess of Queensberry to lead his defence against Oscar Wilde's libel action. One of the few non-monarchs to receive a United Kingdom state funeral
