Tomb with effigy, formerly believed to be that of Gervase Alard (1270-1340), Admiral of the Cinque Ports and first recorded Mayor of Winchelsea (in 1294), in the Church of St Thomas the Martyr, Winchelsea, Sussex. The tomb is now thought to be that of Gervase's brother (or son, or grandson) Stephen, who was also an Admiral of the Cinque Ports
