Zouave Bugler Alexandre Baudot - Siege of Malakoff

Mr. Jean Louis Alexandre Baudot (1834-1911) - entered the military service as a volunteer in the 1st regiment of Zouaves in 1852, as a bugler, took part in all campaigns of the Second Empire including the seat of Sevastopol in Crimea. Sounded the charge to Malakoff's assault (1855) which earned him to be known as the "Malakoff Historical Clarion"
