Gordon McLennan (1924-2011), former leader of the Communist Party of Great Britain, its National Organiser 1966-1975 and its General Secretary 1976-1989. When the CPGB was dissolved in 1991 he joined the Communist Party of Scotland. Seen here speaking at a meeting of the Movement for Peace and Socialism (Movimento per la Pace e il Socialismo, MPS), a Marxist-Leninist political party founded in Italy in 1986. ~~
