At 10 Downing Street, thousands of petition forms are handed in to Ian Gow, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's parliamentary private secretary, by Eric Varley, Labour MP for Chesterfield, seen here to the right of Gow. The March for Jobs walked from Liverpool to London throughout May to highlight the unemployment problem
