Ronald Stevenson (left, b 1928), British composer, looking at a musical score with the Soviet Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich (1906-1975). The score is of Stevenson's large-scale composition for solo piano, entitled Passacaglia on DSCH, which he dedicated to Shostakovich, and presented a copy of the score to him at the 1962 Edinburgh Festival
