Jul. 20, 1957 - Vivien Leigh and husband Sir Laurence Olivier Lead Protest March Against Demolition of St. James Theatre, London. Sir Laurence and Lady Olivier headed a protest march organised by the British Actors Equity Association, as a protest against the demolition of the famous old St. James Theatre. Many actors and actresses took part in the march from the theatre to St. Martin-in-the-Fields Courtyard, where a meeting was held.
