The Diving Belles troupe featuring (centre) Nellie (Helen) Annie Smith (Robinson) (Wybrow) (1887-1970). The Diving Belles appeared in an elaborate sea cave setting as Mermaids in Shells with clever and original tricks and fancy diving. A tank of water would be heated on the stage for the performers
