A Metropolitan Police officer with blood on his face, injured during a demonstration (sometimes referred to as the Battle of Lewisham) against the National Front in Lewisham, south east London. Two colleagues support him, while passers-by look on. A right-wing National Front march through Lewisham was met by a counter-demonstration organised by the left-wing Socialist Workers Party, and fighting ensued
