Photographer of the British Army Film Unit, has been acclaimed by the American Press as The War's Greatest pictures. It shows British troops landing on the Normandy coast on June 6th. The picture was taken by Sgt J H Mapham, who was a staff photographer on the Leicester Mercury before the war. Shows British troops landing on a beach on the Normandy coast.
