Officers? cap badge, Royal Army Chaplains? Department, 1953 (c)-1984 (c).In gilt metal, a wreath, the left half of oak and the right half of laurel, surmounted by a monarchial crown. Superimposed on the wreath a silver-plated frosted Maltese Cross with, at its centre, a gilt circlet bearing the motto on an enamelled ground. Within the voided circlet a pierced gilt quatrefoil upon an enamelled ground. Two loop fittings horizontally placed on reverse, along with a split pin fitting
