Pesh-kabz and scabbard, nd. Blade has traces of watering. Hilt possibly of walrus ivory. Lanyard stanchion missing. Inscription on reverse of tang explains its history. Captured at Battle of Gujerat, 2nd Sikh War, (1848-1849). Inscribed on reverse of tang: This dagger was taken by the Scinde Horse from the chief in command of the Afghan Cavalry at the Battle of Goozerat and presented by Lt Malcolm and his brother officers to Col the Honbl Henry Dundas commanding the Bombay Division of the Punjab
