Kenyte lava
Geological specimen collected by Scott's British Antarctic Expedition 1910-1913, also known as the Terra Nova expedition. It had a broad scientific programme and collected thousands of geological and zoological specimens. Kenyte is a type of volcanic rock found only in Kenya and Antarctica. This example came from the eruptions of the Mount Erebus volcano
