The back of an 18 carat gold Tiffany watch presented to Captain Rostron of the RMS Carpathia, as a token of gratitude from three of the survivors rescued by the Carpathia on 15 April 1912 shortly after the Titanic sank: Mrs John B Thayer, Mrs John Jacob Astor and Mrs George D Widener. It bears the initials AHR, ie Arthur Henry Rostron
