Envelope from the Titanic
An envelope, postmarked Southampton, 10 April 1912, addressed to Irvine Aitchison Esq of Sherwood, Beckenham, Kent. It contained a letter from his fiancee on White Star Line RMS Titanic headed paper, dated simply Wednesday. The writer says that the luxury liner is like the Savoy afloat, and says that she would like a mahogany state cabin and a pink silk bed for my honeymoon trip, it only costs £850 for the single voyage'. ~~(2 of 2)
