Letter from the Titanic
The first page of a letter on White Star Line RMS Titanic headed paper, dated simply Wednesday. The writer says that the luxury liner is like the Savoy afloat, and says that she would like a mahogany state cabin and a pink silk bed for my honeymoon trip, it only costs £850 for the single voyage'. The accompanying envelope, postmarked Southampton, 10 April 1912, is addressed to her fiance, Irvine Aitchison of Beckenham, Kent. ~~(1 of 2)
