Entrance to Luna Park in Heliopolis, a suburb north-east of central Cairo. The Cairo Luna Park was an amusement park opened to the public in 1911 and a popular tourist attraction. During World War I it was converted to an auxiliary hospital for the Australian army and ultimately closed down in 1916
