Jounieh (Djounieh), town in the Mount Lebanon (Liban) governorate, north of Beirut. Today, Jounieh is known for its seaside resorts and nightlife, as well as the gondola lift, which takes passengers up the mountain to the shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in Harissa (top right in the distance)
