SS Pacific Trader - cargo ship built by William Doxford and Sons Ltd, Sunderland in 1924 for the Norfolk and North American Steam Shipping Co, London. On October 12, 1944, after an explosion in the Engine Room, the SS Pacific Trader caught fire and the ship was abandoned with the loss of 3 lives
