Airing Court at Fountain Mental Hospital, Tooting, Surrey
Children and nurses enjoy playing with toys in an airing court at the Fountain Hospital at Tooting in Surrey (now South London). The hospital was opened in 1893 as a fever hospital by the Metropolitan Asylums Board. In 1911, it was redesignated as a mental hospital for severely subnormal children
