Barnardo's Migrants to Canada
Barnardo's emigrants - girls sit on the veranda of their reception family home in Canada. Barnardo's homes began sending children to Canada in 1872. A larger scale migration scheme began in the 1880s and emigration was extended to Australia in 1921
