The boys band, posed with their instruments, at the Greenwich and Deptford Union's cottage homes site at Lamorbey, near Sidcup, Kent. The homes name can be seen on the bass drum. The homes, later known as The Hollies, were opened in 1902 to house pauper children away from the workhouse
