Interior of the church at the Horton War Hospital, Epsom, Surrey, opened in 1899 as Horton Asylum - London's seventh county asylum. Following its First World War deployment as a military hospital, the site was renamed Horton Mental Hospital. After again serving as a war hospital from 1939-1949, the it became known as Horton Hospital
