Court room at Bristol St Peter's Workhouse
The court room at the St Peter's workhouse, Bristol. The wood-panelled room has an ornate fire-place and ceiling. The building, once owned by merchant Robert Aldworth, was used as a workhouse 1698-1900. Also known as St Peter's Hospital, it was destroyed in an air raid in 1940
