Darenth Asylum - Day-room
Nurses in a day-room at the Darenth Schools, near Dartford in Kent, opened in 1878 by the Metropolitan Asylums Board as a residential institution for imbecile children from London. The buildings were designed by A and C Harston. The decorations in the room suggest it may be Christmas-time
