The drapery store at the Orphan Homes of Scotland, Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire. The Homes, laid out as a village of cottage homes, were opened in 1878 by William Quarrier, a successful shoemaker from Greenock, who developed an interest in the welfare of deprived street children
