Goldie Leigh Children's Cottage Homes, Bostall Woods, Plumst
Entrance to the Woolwich Union's Goldie Leigh cottage homes at Bostall Heath, Plumstead, erected in 1899 to house pauper children away from the workhouse. The name Goldie Leigh comes from the surnames of two families connected with the area. From 1914, the site was used by the Metropolitan Asylums Board for treating infectious conditions such as ringworm
