An inmate driving an eight-horse team and plough at the Ministry of Labour Instructional Centre at Claydon in Suffolk, opened in 1925 in the former Bosmere and Claydon union workhouse. At Claydon, unemployed men were trained either as handymen for employment in Britain, or were prepared for work on the land in Australia and Canada
