Joyce Green Hospital Ambulance Trams
Horse-drawn ambulance Trams in a stable yard at the Joyce Green Smallpox Hospital at Long Reach near Dartford. The trams ferried patients around the hospital and to/from river ambulances. The hospital, which was operated by the Metropolitan Asylums Board, open in 1903, replacing three hospital ships moored nearby on the Thames
