Kensington & Chelsea District School, girls group photo

In 1876, the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea established a District School for pauper children at Banstead, Surrey (later known as Beechholme). As well as cottage homes, each housing 40 children, the site had its own schools, infirmary, chapel, swimming pool etc. Here is a group of younger children (girls with short hair?) in their white school uniform. The adults may be teachers or house parents
