Kensington & Chelsea District School, boys group photo

In 1876, the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea established a District School for pauper children at Banstead, Surrey (later known as Beechholme). As well as cottage homes, each housing 40 children, the site had its own schools, infirmary, chapel, swimming pool etc. Here is a group of the youngest children (a mixture of boys and girls with short hair?). The adults are probably house parents
