Lower Southern Hospital, Gore Farm, Dartford, Kent
The Lower Southern Hospital at Gore Farm, near Dartford, Kent, during its First World War use as a military hospital. The hospital was set up in 1883 by the Metropolitan Asylums Board for smallpox convalescents, with the initial marquees gradually replaced by permanent huts. The site later became the Southern Convalescent Hospital
