Aerial view of Nottingham City Hospital (upper left of centre) and Sherwood Hospital (left of centre) at Bagthorpe, Nottingham. The two institutions were originally opened in 1903 as, respectively, the Nottingham Union infirmary and workhouse. The workhouse was later renamed Valebrook Lodge before becoming Sherwood Hospital
