South Metropolitan District Schools, Sutton, Surrey
The South Metropolitan District Schools, opened in 1853 by the Bermondsey, Camberwell, Greenwich, St Olave, and Woolwich unions, to house pauper children away from the workhouse. In 1908 it became Fulham's Belmont workhouse, later known as Belmont Hospital, renamed the Henderson Hospital in 1958
