St Luke's Hospital at Lowestoft, Suffolk. Formerly the Empire Hotel, the building was acquired in 1921 by the Metropolitan Asylums Board and reopened the following year as a hospital for tuberculosis patients. Nurses, patients and open air beds can be seen on the first floor balconies
