TS Exmouth - At mess
Boys dining in groups or messes on the Training Ship Exmouth'. The tables are suspended so as to stay level in rough waters. The Exmouth, moored of Grays in Essex, was used by the Metropolitan Asylums Board as a naval training establishment for pauper children, most of whom came from London workhouses
