Union Workhouse, Guildford, Surrey
The entrance to the Guildford Union workhouse, Surrey, during its First World War deployment as a military hospital. Various military personnel can be seen, including an officer on crutches. A Red Cross ambulance stands alongside. The building, erected in 1836, was designed by George Gilbert Scott and William Bonython Moffatt. It later became Warren Road Hospital and then St Luke's Hospital
