West London Union Men's Casual Ward 1857
The men's casual ward of the West London Poor Law Union, used to provide overnight accommodation for tramps and vagrants. The men slept on the bare floor in a twelve-stall stable. The building was the subject of a surprise visit by the Lord Mayor of London in December 1857
