Zeppelin LZ3

The third rigid airship designed by Ludwig Durr for Graf Ferdinand von Zeppelin. The Count later formed Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH. the predominant airship manufacturer, from the 1890s to the late 1930s. First flown in October 1906, LZ3 (company designation) was sold to the imperial German Army in 1909 and given the military serial number "Z1", she served until 1913
