Anne of Brittany (1477-1514). Duchess of Brittany and Queen consort of France (1491-1498, 1499-1514). She died on 8 January 1514 at the Chateau de Blois. The funeral ceremony took place on 4 February 1514 in the church of Saint-Sauveur. The funerals were held over a period of forty days. In front of the coffin stood the effigy, with the sceptre and the crown. The cordeliers (Franciscan friars) and the Jacobins, kneeling. The bishop of Paris officiated the mass.
