Italy. Rome. Basilica of Saint Mary above Minerva, better known as the Dominicans. It is located in the Piazza della Minerva. Facade. In front of the church is the Minerva's Pulcino (Pulcino della Minerva), designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini (1598-1680) and carried out by his pupil Ercole Ferrata (1610-1686) in 1667. An elephant is the supporting base of one of the Rome's eleven Egyptian obelisks. It was found in the Dominicans garden
