The English Armada. Statement of causes which moved the chief commanders of the Navy of Her Most Excellent Majesty the Queen of England on the Voyage and Expedition to Portugal. Drake, leading a small fleet, sailed to the Azores in an attempt to seize the Spanish Indies fleet, with the rest of the expedition returning to England. Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth I ordered Essex to return to England. Norris also decided to return to England. Printed in London, Christopher Barker edition, 1589.
