Josep Barcelo Cassado (Mataro, 1824-Barcelona, 1855). Catalan workers leader. Spinner and prominent member of the Barcelona cotton spinners association. He took an active part in the workers mobilisations during the summer of 1854. He was court-martialled for a crime that took place in the mas de Sant Jaume de Olessa de Montserrat, and was found guilty and sentenced to death.
