Italy. Monument to be erected in Rome dedicated to King Victor Emmanuel II. On 23 September 1880, the competition for the design project of the monument was announced. The French architect Henry-Paul Nenot (1853-1934), who had designed a column inside an exedra at Piazza Termini, was victorious. Nenot's project was never executed. Engraving.
