The Queen of Sheba before Solomon. Costume of 15th century. The king extends his scepter to the queen to symbolise that he welcomes the person and the gift offered to him. Five ladies accompany the queen. Six courtiers of Solomon stand to the right of the throne. Chromolithography after a miniature from the Breviary of the cardinal Grimani, attributed to Memling, 1520.
