Saint George. 2nd century. Martyr. The Christian Knight St. George defeats the Dragon, the symbol of all evils. The figure originally stood on a tall plinth about 3 m. high in front of the east window of the north aisle in Husum church. The church was demolished in 1807. The group was carved ca. 1520 by the german artish Hans Bruggemann (1480-1521). National Museum of Denmark
