San Juan, Puerto Rico. Disembarkation of the governor and Captain General of Puerto Rico, Andres Gonzalez Munoz (1840-1898), on 11 January 1898. He took office on the same date and died of a heart attack. He was a Spanish military of Cuban origin, promoted to lieutenant general in 1897. Photoengraving.
